In the heart of José Ignacio, Hopupu has established itself as one of the most respected surf schools on the Uruguayan coast.
Led by Salvador and Joaquín Zelles, a local surfer with extensive experience, the school kicks off its 2025-2026 season in November and runs activities throughout the summer. The program includes personalized lessons, courses for all ages and levels, and experiences focused on enjoying the ocean safely and with environmental awareness.
